As a major milestone for India’s Aerospace & Defence industry, Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) inaugurated the Final Assembly Line (FAL) complex for the C295 aircraft in Vadodara, Gujarat in India. TASL and Airbus are partnering for the pioneering ‘Make in India’ project to deliver 56 C295 aircraft to the Indian Air Force (IAF). The state-of-the-art facility was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi and the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón in the presence of N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, Mr Noel Tata, Chairman, Tata Trusts and other senior Government dignitaries.
Providing a major boost to the Government of India’s 'AatmaNirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India) programme, this is the first instance of the private sector setting up an aircraft FAL in India. The inauguration comes three years after the Indian Air Force (IAF) formalised the acquisition of 56 Airbus C295 aircraft to replace their legacy AVRO fleet. As per the contract, 40 units will be manufactured and assembled in partnership with TASL at this FAL.

The FAL will be the first instance of the private sector setting up a helicopter assembly facility in India. The contract was signed at the Farnborough International Airshow 2024.

Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) and Satellogic are thrilled to announce the successful deployment into space of TASL’s TSAT-1A satellite aboard Bandwagon-1 mission by SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket on 7th April, 2024.

Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka for investments in the aerospace and defence sector in the State.
The MoU was signed in Presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddaramaiah and Sukaran Singh, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, TASL, along with other dignitaries and senior officials from the Government of Karnataka, Air India, Bangalore International Airport and TASL.
Mr. Sukaran Singh, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, TASL, added, “We are pleased to announce the beginning of a long-term partnership with the Government of Karnataka. This milestone marks a significant stride towards bolstering India's aerospace and defence manufacturing sector. We believe this will lead to creating opportunities and advancing India's capabilities in industrial growth including skill development.”
The investment by TASL will be directed towards various endeavours, including implementing an Aircraft Modification, Conversion, Completion and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility for defence purposes, setting up an indigenous gun manufacturing including barrel manufacturing facility and implementing R&D in the aerospace and defence sector. These ventures are expected to generate over 450 highly skilled employment opportunities in the state.

Airbus Helicopters partners with the Tata Group to establish a Final Assembly Line (FAL) for producing the bestselling H125 helicopters in the country.
Under this partnership, TASL will set up the facility.
The FAL in India will undertake the integration of the major component assemblies, avionics and mission systems, installation of electrical harnesses, hydraulic circuits, flight controls, dynamic components, fuel system and the engine. Tata Wheeled Armoured Personnel Carriers (WhAPC) have been selected by Indian Army for UN Peacekeeping Missions overseas. These vehicles have been adapted from the existing In-Service Quick Reaction Force Vehicles (QRFV-Medium) with additional features. Tata WhAPCwill enhance safety in vulnerable zones by offering mobile security to soldiers engaged in combat operations.
Tata WhAPC will also be available in multiple configurations such as Infantry Carrier, Command Post, and Ambulance Rescue, providing a comprehensive protective solution for frontline soldiers.

As a major milestone for India’s Aerospace & Defence industry, Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) inaugurated the Final Assembly Line (FAL) complex for the C295 aircraft in Vadodara, Gujarat in India. TASL and Airbus are partnering for the pioneering ‘Make in India’ project to deliver 56 C295 aircraft to the Indian Air Force (IAF). The state-of-the-art facility was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi and the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón in the presence of N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, Mr Noel Tata, Chairman, Tata Trusts and other senior Government dignitaries.
Providing a major boost to the Government of India’s 'AatmaNirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India) programme, this is the first instance of the private sector setting up an aircraft FAL in India. The inauguration comes three years after the Indian Air Force (IAF) formalised the acquisition of 56 Airbus C295 aircraft to replace their legacy AVRO fleet. As per the contract, 40 units will be manufactured and assembled in partnership with TASL at this FAL.

Airbus Helicopters partners with the Tata Group to establish a Final Assembly Line (FAL) for producing the bestselling H125 helicopters in the country.
Under this partnership, TASL will set up the facility.
The FAL in India will undertake the integration of the major component assemblies, avionics and mission systems, installation of electrical harnesses, hydraulic circuits, flight controls, dynamic components, fuel system and the engine. Tata WhAPCwill enhance safety in vulnerable zones by offering mobile security to soldiers engaged in combat operations.
